I’m Amy. I drink coffee, Diet Pepsi, iced tea, vodka, beer & wine. Sometimes in that order.
I am married to Brett, and we have two beautiful kids – Mazzy is our daughter, born November 2005. She is smart, sensitive, cautious and and sweet. She’s the best thing that ever happened to us. Jack, born September 2008 is the opposite of Mazzy in almost every way. He is rambunctious, inquisitive, physical, sweet, and very much a little boy. He is also the best thing that ever happened to us.
Aside from being a wife and a mother, I’m also a full-time librarian. I am the Web manager for a large public library system. We live in Texas, and though my job is in the big city, we live in the country, where possums regularly venture onto our front porch to eat my cat’s food. Food which costs $40 for 12 pounds because Chief is 13 years old & diabetic. He gets 2 insulin injections per day – just what every working mom needs to deal with. We also have 2 dogs, Millie & Hambone, who are happy to hang in the backyard safely away from the children, chasing squirrels all day long.
Life is seldom easy, but it’s also never dull.
